LSD unknown?

i know its a long shot of hopeing someone can identify this LSD centre but maybe someone will know its worth a try even though its still in there bit affraid to take the centre appart cause i don't know if it springs appart or what

the way to identify the type is to look through one of the windows in the side, can you take a pic of that?

yes it does, pics r updated now i got pix inside the window just confused some people say its stock centre some say TRD

The stock Toyota LSD definitely looks different to that. I think it's a TRD. I don't know any other LSD that has a cast finish like that, so I am sticking with TRD.

yeah can't see any pins or anything by my eyes, any1 seen a site with ae86 diffs on there ? like all 86 diffs listed and pic comparisons ? would help lots.

trd. no way of telling if its 2/1/1.5 without disassembling.

probably 2 way, i would guess, can't remember ever seeing a trd 1 way/1.5 way advertised for sale.

I have done this a number of times already, with photos. No one believes me.

This is a picture I just found on my computer. It looks like a Toyota LSD to me. The same style LSD was also in the MA61 Supra. It is 2 pinion, and uses coil springs for the preload.

so the Toyota has a machined center whilst the trd model has a sand casting finish?

Yes. But there are other brands also of course.
