after market tacho

ey jsut bougt a after market tacho for my ae86
its has twin coils and a microtech computer...

the instuctions for the tacho say to take the signal from the coil negative. but i have 2 so what do i do? simple put it on both neg's on the coil packs?

disregard the coils and wire the tacho off the microtech tacho output which should put out a 4cyl signal
