woudlnt lowering the compression be a bad idea if you are not going to run boost?

and yeah, not many people bother with 4ac's, weber and exhaust is about all you would want to bother with them

or turbo would be cool and has been done.
strong motor, just not very build-up-able

if you wanna spend abit of dosh get a 4age

not so much spending cash on it just wanna see what i can do while i save for a 4age - i have a ca18det sitting in my garage + gearbox flywheel etc.. but i don't think that putting that into a sprinter would be an easy task and since i ahve a 4ac in it at the moment a 4age will fit right in no probs so not 100% sure what i shoudl do at this point in time

ca18 doesnt belong in a sprinter mate.

put that into a ke70 for a drift hack. I'm a bit of a purist. just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

as mentioned, weber and exhaust. they are cheap and effective mods which does make a suprising difference.

normal tuning would follow this but it kinda starts to get more expensive after this and you can't get your money back lol

best mods you can do to a 4ac car is suspension work :P. having said that my 4ac is upto a level which its on par with a standard bigport 4ag power wise, it has a much smoother power band that my mate built 4ag. it really goes much better than it has any right to

The best thing you can do with a 4AC is to get new shock absorbers and drive it harder. Then you have to drive smarter to drive faster. Watch your friend who is going hard in the hills. He it taking the corners wide and braking too much. Think conservation of momentum, and you will need less power.

well thanks for the advice guys looks like i'll focus on getting some good 2nd hand coilovers and strut braces and a drift button and go from there - so i'll weld the diff until i can afford a 2 way and save save save!

I'm about to but a double barrel carby on mine, then after that I might do exhaust. It's already got a different cam in it.
