You sure its 175? Mine is 180 and it fits no problem with the same tensioner.

How are you trying to get the belt on? What size belt are you using?

yeh sure its 175 mm this is what my mechanic is telling me he said there is only like 1to 2 mm gap between the crank pulley and the idler and the belt is like 3 mm and can't get it on so need o smaller idler!

I always pull my idler off, slip the new belt on then push the idler back on. There is not much of a gap, but it works well. Try dropping the adjusting bolt of the idler lower so you can get the belt on easier.

Other then that, not sure whatelse....

Can get a pic if you want?

Will get a pic tomorrow hopefully. No problem with the belt snapping.

Its like a 2-3mm gap when the pulley is on so you need to remove it first in order to put the belt on.

are you suggesting you're using the standard tensioner pulley with a 180mm crank pulley??

Here is a 180mm crank pulley with smaller idler pulley (tensioner) its a damn tight fit.

And here's the difference stock and the smaller pulley... so I don't see how 180mm crank pulley+stock idler works...

No, I'm using the same ep016 idler.

No way in the world would the stock one would work.....

My water pump pulley was machined down too. The gap in your pic looks exactly like mine....
