hey guys

just doing a service for the first time on my new car
looked up some specs on w series gear boxes, some said 2.5 ltr other said 3ltr

i was going to just fill it till it came out the fill hole on the side, iv already put 3 ltr in and no sign of it coming out yet. cant see any issue with just filling it up till it comes out the hole but thought i would ask for your opinion?
cheers

My MA61 box took a touch over 2.7L

Just make sure you dont have a leak into the bellhousing. Seen that happen on a T50 where they kept adding oil and it just filled up the bellhousing until it poured out of the clutch fork hole.

2 different copies of the FSM on cars with W58's call for 2.4L

is there going to be much difference with a w55?
might just leave it at 3ltr then

W58's are 2.4L recomended, not sure with W55's, but wouldn't think it would be too much more than that....

W55-W59 take the same amount of fluid.

Nothing wrong with a little extra, 2.7L isn't going to hurt anything ;) .
