I just wanted to know if anybody knew off hand if Impul Hoshino Mesh were a 3 piece?

I'd be suprised if they are not, but I have the rims on the car atm and can't really take the rubber off to check.

They are very similar in style to SSR Forumla Mesh.

I'm running a pair of these on my car at the moment and there's a sticker on it which says they're 3 piece wheels. Haven't had the chance to pull it apart yet though.

My car was running Impul Mesh, but they looked different to yours, they had a raised centre section. They were definately 2 piece.
Full name as stamped on the back was Hoshino Impul Pro Mesh, pic below

theyre 3pc. but the 2 outer rim halves are welded in the exact same way ssr are.

Ah that makes sense, I take it they aren't that hard to machine apart though? Seeing as that's what you're doing with your 15 inch SSRs?

I successfully managed to munt one of the rims today so that the main reason I'm asking. Tore a large chunk off from around the lip. Still holds air though. Was considering getting outer shells made up and bolting it all together, but its probably still not worth it as the centres are redrilled to 114.3 PCD from something stupid like 120 PCD so they look like crap.

The Kid's wheels would have had a center cap with a retaining clip at some stage.

In answer to your question 3 piece construction, outers have been welded effectively 2 piece.

God I would have loved some of those center caps, knew of a pair locally but never bothered chasing up another.
