Well all...i got a quote today to fit new rear disks and pads plus service the rear calipers....quote was for $1070 to supply and fit....is this a close to normal price or through the roof...the disks are 140 each but just solid ones not drilled or grooved and the rest is the calipers plus labour...any advice on this would be greatfull....the quote was in wynnum brisbane..also while this is being done is it recommended to service/replace any other parts..?

i payed 80 to have my calipers rebuilt
80 for caliper rebuild kit
and i can get you new brembo discs drilled and grooved for cheaper than they want for the solid discs
so seems very expensive dude, easy to pull the shit apart yourself and just pay for rebuilding calipers

That is outrageous! I would call them tomorrow and tell them they're dreaming!
I had my rear calipers rebuilt and sleeved for $400 and that included taking them off the car and putting them back on. Those were the days where I had no time to spend on the car so just accepted the bill (which I didn't think was cheap, but at least I knew the work was good).

$1070! Tell them you'll do their brakes for that much!
Way overpriced, sort it out yourself.
I had new pads, rebuilt calipers and disks for $350.

Word of warning, If your going to do this yourself. You 'have' to have the SST from Toyota to put the rear calipers back together.
I learned the hard way.
