View Full Version : what is needed to put a w series box onto a 4a engine

i want to do a w series conversion for my 4agte but just wanting to know what do i need, obviously a bell housing and clutch but what clutch? I'm using a 20v fly wheel 220mm, what clutch slave do i need? what clutch folk? what throw out bearing? what spigot bearing?

you will need to get your clutch re splined to suit the w box input shaft. clutch fork will be the stock w box item as will be the throwout bearing. may aswell put a new 4a spigot bearing in while its apart. clutch slave i have heard t18 will fit.

if you do not have a clutch slave, clutch fork and throwout bearing yet (like me) you can get a hydraulic throwout bearing which replaces all those parts. there is a thread in tech articles on this and i believe the guy who made the thread is in the final stages of testing the item before selling it to the public
