Hey guys,
Halfway through my CA18DET into KE70 conversion. Finished off the gearbox mount (was out of an AE86 running the same setup, but I had to widen it a little bit for the wider trans tunnel). Have noticed that the gearbox sits up against the fuel lines. It's firmly up against them.
Anyways, I want to have it engineered and registered which rules out just cutting them and running fuel hose. My question is before I start moving / remaking the lines, is it even a big problem? A mate who has done the same conversion found the same thing (I would say we are both using the same custom engine mounts). He ended up making all new lines (went bigger cos he was chasing big power) to get around it.
I'm undecided as to if it could be a series problem or not..has anybody else here come across this issue and what did you do to fix it?
