Question for ya all

Ive just mounted my clutch master in my AE71 (converting from auto to manual) and i thought id strengthen up the firewall a bit by adding a plate that goes between the bolts and the firewall on the inside of the cabin.

Ive heard a few stories of the factory ones getting 'pushed' through the firewall... this true, not necessarily on Toyotas, but other makes

Heres a couple of pics of what ive done, is such a thing overkill on corollas??

Im using an AE71 Pedalbox.

cheers,
prewer

i dno.. ive spoke to guys who have said that when doing the cable to hydraulic covo on the ke70 that u can get some fire wall flex... but i dont know aye, it seems pretty strong to me. but they were using an 86 pedal box as it doesnt bolt up to the under dash like a 71 or T18 pedal box.. i used an 86 pedal box but i welded it in so its not coming out and its strong as!

so if yur using a 71 ot T18 pedal box i think that it could be "overkill", but hay its only a piece of aluminum, its not like its gonna add weight or anything..

Yeah, 71 pedalbox, really only added the plate in for piece of mind, cant be anything worse than a dicky clutch
