Hey y'all just wondering if anyone could tell me what the safest psi would be for my 4agze? I'm taking in on the track and wanna give it abit more boost without cooking it 😜.. Thanks for your help in advance..

just buy the small boost pulley. i think it takes it to 11 or 12 psi

Oh ok fair enough you know where I can get one of them from? It's currently at like 9/10 now with no cooler

so you have blocked off the abv to get to that pressure? i would definitely have an intercooler even with stock boost. the pulleys pop up every now and then maybe put up a wanted to buy thread

I'd have no issue mounting whatever I could to get the most boost possible. In my opinion the motor can handle it.

The issues I'd forsee are high intake temps and the inefficiency of an SC12 meaning the last few psi give minimal benefit (get an intercooler), and the chance of melting/blowing up the SC12. But they are cheap and easy to replace and I think stories of their meltingness are exaggerated.

From the practical side I ran 11psi with an SC12 for years without issue and 16psi with an SC14 briefly without problem.

get some water injection, apart from helping your effective octane it also is meant to improve your supercharger efficiency and hence raising your boost.

Thanks guys, Sam what is this water injection your talking about?

I think he is talking about having water sprayed on to the intercooler?

Or a water to air cooler rather than air to air? Have a look on pwr's website

Oh ok fair enough I'm gonna need a cooler first then aren't I, top mount coolers any good? Don't wanna run a front mount if I'm gonna have to start cutting holes

You can fit 2inch piping through factory holes just above the front bumper mounts. Or have a look at option one garage website as they sell piping covers that make cutting holes in the engine bay legal

Go a small front mount. Check this sale thread out, good sized coolers in there with 2" inlet/outlet.
