loud noise

Hey guys,
I have a ae86 with a 4age and it has started making a loud noise when i started it up today, the an belt is fairly new and the timing belt isnt missing any teeth. when i accelerate it gets louder but stops when i get over 4000rpm any ideas?

Is it squealing?
I take it you just changed the fan belt not long ago?
Just tension up the fan belt again and see if it goes away.

What sort of noise is it making? When I fart it a loud noise but I think that is going to sound different to a belt slipping or noisy lifter, might want to explain the noise a bit better
