hey guys,
been having this problem since last week..started in the rain and i thought possible rain into wire problem but its been happening since

Whilst indicating, it usually does it's thing.. *click click click* like an indicator would...but every now and then, it'd stop and no clicking or flashing arrows on my dash (not sure if its still indicating outside)

anyway, was looking for the flasher unit on the car this morning to get it changed...and where it says its located...mine was empty!

does anyone know what the problem is OR know where my flasher unit is located?!

i was following http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_J_1986_TOYOTA_COROLLA+LEVIN_AE86-ECMQF_8401.3.html as a guide to find it..the 81980 part was what i was guessing it was

thanks so much for your help

Terry

the clicking is the relay itself, so while the cars off turn the ignition to on and turn the indicator on and see if you car track the sound

yeah.. i think its GETTING faulty..cause it works every other day, but just now and then, it'd turn off..
where would i find the relay in an 86? is it where i thought it was thats now empty?

its green and down under the steering wheel, kinda near the rh kick panel area

i know this because i removed mine and fitted it to another car (mine was adm, the other car was jdm) they were both in the same location
