tacho not working

Just recently done a 4ag conversion in my ae71 but my tacho or gauges don't work, narrowed it down to wiring, keeps blowing the fuse if anyone is good with wiring would much appreciate some help as I don't really feel comfortable driving without seeing the temp.

normally its one of those solid black wires that connected from the old 4ac coil

Yeah got that wire hooked up and works but when turned on accesorys the car kicks over its like its hooked to the starter motor probably why it blows the fuse real confused. Not good at all with wiring
