To support the launch of the new Toyota sports car '86' in June 2012, Toyota would like to get some original sports cars to use in the launch activities. You know, whats old is new again.

Who has one or know someone who has a Toyota 2000GT, a Sports 800 or an AE86 ADM in near perfect condition. I will be making my original AE86 GT coupe Grp A race car for this activity.

We have a bit of time, so any interest, leads or contacts would be appreciated.

PM or email willofan@live.com.au

Im pretty sure there was a sports 800 at AJD last year?

It was silver, I remember talking briefly to the owner, but cant remember where he is from. Maybe try toymods?

A member of the Sporting Car Club SA has a 2000GT. Get hold of the club with an official letter from Toyota and I'm sure you wont have any issues tracking him down.

Cheers
JA

P.S: That 2000GT was at the Adelaide AJD, a year or so ago, so contact the organisers and they might still have his signup details.

The image above is the Sports 800, here is a 2000GT pic I took in 1985 I would like to track down, but my sources say it was sold and exported.

I will try making an official to the club as suggested.

im fairly certain its al palmer in penrith who owns the sport 800. he was also at toymods toyotafest this year as well.
its also more minty fresh than the colgate factory.

i also might know of someone who has the best looking ADM ever, his name is keith and has come to a few of the annuals.

just curious as to why you would want a mint ADM model and not a JDM spec 86, trust me i can appreciate a good example of a adm 86 but if your trying to show how great the car was back in the day i'd say a jdm version would be better to look at, with better seats and motor it says affordable sports car alot more then the version we got here

here is a link to a guy that just bought a restored adm 86 with 4ac still in it. pretty rare to find one restored back to original and retain the 4ac. his user name is bomba, just scroll down on the link a little to see pics

McLEVIN is on the money. There are many JDM spec 86's around and most ADM versions have been molested to emulate a JDM in someway or another. In fairness, Toyota Australia would be doing the right thing to promote something they sold even as boring and gutless as the ADM version was/is.

I have a few PM's and leads on a Sports 800 leaving messages with Al Palmer and there is a local ADM spec original AE86 I will look at this week.

The Holly grail is the 2000gt...

Is this one you have been keeping up your sleeve?
Any idea who owns this?

No idea man. Only idea I got is to go on the all Japan day website and email them if they can pass your details onto the owner. I doubt they give the owners details out.

Speak directly with kristian appelt from iron chef imports. He runs the all jap days and I'd be very suprised if he didn't have details on the 2000gt
