Anyone here put a s13/180sx dash cluster into their ke70/ae71??
I've got one here and I have been trying to find both a ke70 and a 180sx dash wiring diagrams but so far nothing so if anyone could help out I'd greatly appreciate it :)

I doubt it..

I can't see why one would want to either.

Only reason I'm looking at doing it is so I can use the speedo from the electric sender in the gearbox. I currently don't have any speedo reading..

we put a CA18 and box into a mates ae86, and im pretty sure we just unbolted the electric sender, and screwed in the standard cable.....i dunnno if sr20 box is different (prolly is....)but have you tried it?

as for the pinouts it wouldnt be hard to figure it all out using a multimeter and at test light...its all going to be custom mate. and if you do get it working, have you considered the fact you prolly wont have a fuel guage? i think id rather fuel than speedo:P

I did have a speedo after stuffing around by taking the sr20 sender cog off and putting it on the original ke70 speedo drive but that didn't last too long, stripped the gear off for some reason haha.
And with the fuel guage, if I couldn't get the 180sx one working I was going to just buy a seperate guage and hook that up..

Is there a reason you think the 180sx fuel guage won't work? I'm not expecting it to give a really true reading because of the different size tanks, but it would give me some idea.

you could always try and adapt the s13 speedo into the ke70 dash cluster...that could be easier than trying to put the s13 dash in. though you'll need to destroy 2 clusters then

the reason i dont think the fuel guage wont work is that there is a different sender on the other end, so the resistances may be out (you might be lucky..). though i do think that you will be able to get the fuel light working as its only a switch (assuming the s13 one is like that to). admitidly its all scepticism without analysing/trying...

you could have a crack at it and tell me if it works:D

Yeh thats another good point, but I don't really wanna risk destroying the s13 cluster lol. I'll have a look and see how easy the speedo section comes off.

But I'm leaning more towards using another sr20 cog on a ke70 speedo drive to keep the dash as it is and hopefully not strip another one off.

get a speedo driver from a rb20 box.
mechanical and bolts in.
then it runs to your standard speed. mine works fine....

i got told to put a rb20 speedo sender into the sr box cos rb is same type as ke70 then use an ae71 cable and should work fine but i dont kno from experience yet. im currently on the hunt for a rb20 sender myself
