just wondering what toyota carinas are all about

i may have an opportunity to get one cheap.

what motors and what diff do they have?
and are they corolla chassis or something else? they seam a fair bit smaller than a corona.

does anyone on here know abit about them?
i think the vin is ta60 but not sure, so its possibly a 2t or 3t motor

Pretty sure the late model ones run a 3SGTE, but don't quote me. 4 door family wagon style of thing. I follow one to work most days.

the late model TA60 got the 3TGTE...

in my opinion they are pretty much a better corona in the same way a chaser is pretty much a better cressida

here are the engine options from factory for the TA60

1,588 cc 2T-GEU (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_T_engine#2T) I4
1,588 cc 12T (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_T_engine#12T) I4
1,770 cc 3T-EU (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_T_engine#3T) I4
1,770 cc 13T (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_T_engine#13T) I4

the engine number on the rego sticker was 2t, its not a sporty looking car tho i hardly think it will have a 2tg, it will most likely be single cam carby
