Hey all,

Long time lurker, first time poster :P

Well im from New zealand, and thought id post a few pics etc of my ae86...

I brought the car from a friend of mine that used to live in japan ( was his beater for a few years ) and when i took ownership the car looked good from afar but far from good..
Dont get me wrong, it had the key elements of a nice 86' in the making ( diff, suspension and wheels ) but being from japan ( and being many centuries old :P ) it had its fair share of natural
body lightening mods going on ( rust and where rust had been ) so ive been slowly getting it back to being a good solid daily / track hack..

Its a Factory facelifted 86' with all the bells and whistles.. ( aircon, power steering, power windows, power mirrors, black interior, etc and they all work )
bumpers, lights blah blah blah you know the good shit that we all strive to find.

Has the usuall mods

factory bluetop 4age
TRD 3.2kg Flywheel with TRD CLutch and Pressure plate
TRD 2-way lsd
TRD Rear Wing
TRD Shortstroke 8-way adjustable inserts in custom coilovers ( 8kg fronts, 6 kg rears )
Nolethane Bushes throughout the car
KE30 Lower control arms
Cusco camber plates
Strut braces, pillar braces
14x8 and 14x8.5 SSR MKIII's freshly refurbished
Jun Headers
Bride Gias II Carbon Recliners
Redline tails and centre garnish
Genuine Pre facelift Lip
40mm RCA's
JIC Tie Rod ends

Probably alot of other things ive forgotten... will update as i remember :P

haha, far from it... there are many more 86's floating around that are actually mint. Mine does the job, will be alot more fun when i turbo it though, in the middle of doing that now. And yeh, taupo track 3... Was the 86' day we had, it pissed down all day. That is Tarran Smith behind me is his 86' notch turbo... my borther from another mother, nick and brendon werent too far behind either

Nice I wish we had a day like that down here in chch. Or I'll have to make it up to taupo if there is another 86 day. Also do u know why your using ke30 lower arms?? Are they longer?? I'm trying to find some arms that will give me a wider track than standard 85-86 arms

Yeh dude... i had to change the inner bushes anyway, so Tarran ( He's a Hoarderof parts ) had some KE30 lower arms kickin around which are about 15mm longer so gives about 30mm wider track and direct replacent..

Nice thanks that's what I needed to know! I've been looking for longer arms for ages. Should be easy to get ke30 arms as k series parts are just scrap metal anyway. Na seriously I've got a couple of mates who should have some for next to nothing.
Love ur 86 keep it up. More pics too!
