hey guys, what needs to be done to customise the loom for a ae86 with a 20v? cheers.

A lot.
Its a process of integrating the 20v engine loom with the AE86 body loom.
I make up looms, as you may or may not already know.
But in my opinion with wiring if you aren't confident with what you're doing, you may end up with a working engine loom, but probably with a lot of messing around and it almost definitely wont be neat.
I have seen many home & pro wiring jobs and I can't say I've seen one I'd be happy with in my own car. I find most auto sparky shops will make a good working and reliable loom. But usually its poorly thought and laid out. But they do it that way because its faster.

In the process of doing mine now, just about finished.
I got all the engine related looms I had (including a AE112 7A-FE one which was very handy) and took ALL the tape off and pulled it all apart. Then started from scratch. The wires will be wraped in tape once I know the motor starts and runs.
90% of wires are just between engine and ECU. All of them go through the hole where the wiper motor wires are.
