Car - AE86 ADM

Engine - 4AC

problem - Fumes in cabin

Hi guys,
im having trouble with getting lots of fumes in my cabin. It only occurs when my windows are down and under acceleration so I dont think it would be from a bad seal on my hatch etc. The car has a new exhaust fitted just recently which didnt fix the problem. Can anyone point me in the right direction, maybe a leak in the engine bay?

Kind regards

Checked the inlet and exhaust gaskets on the manifolds?

Man, I thought fumes in the cabin was normal... *L_*

Maybe a leak near the headers and fumes coming through the chassis rails. There is a hole into the rails in both foot wells.

Many years ago this topic came up on the old dc. On a hatch they said it was caused by the vents that are in the lower corner of the hatch opening. I too had this problem on my old adm, only happened with the windows down and exhaust smell was post cat( only had one joint in the entire system between the headers and cat - the rest all one piece) so there is some merit to it.

With the coupe I don't have those vents and I don't get that problem...
