Ok let me start with saying this isnt a 'hate on this n00b's stupid idea' thread.
i know its not practical or cost effective and what not but im still interested.
Now i just bought a ke70 wagon thats going to be my track slut, its not super pretty or clean and i had no intentions of doing anything cosmetically.
I was looking at the motorfix ke70 wagon and noticed that in one of the photos there was a corolla wagon with a shitty trueno front on it, so i thought that with a little more care that could actually look kinda cool.
I have some left over bits from an old trueno of mine and was wondering if anyone would havve a clue with whats involved in doing this conversion?
please remember this is just a thought and was a little interested, im not commiting to anything just yet just wondering if anyone has any info.
thanks guys.

Guard doesn't meet door perfectly. Gotta get crafty with it.
Top corner of guard on ae86 is different to ke70 so that needs to be addressed unless you don't care too much.
Rad support needs to be changed out unless you wanna make mounts for stuff. Probably easier to chop rad support off and start fresh.
I don't think the upper chassis rails (the strut tower support-y ones) have the all the holes in the right spot. I think two were in the right spot. I don't think the lower back mount points met up.

I not it's not what you asked but levin front looks so much better on ke70.

Oh and there's a little bit of info on toymods from about 5-6 years ago if you can find it.

Fkn whoosh~ <- those that remember the picture will get a chuckle out of this. Ahh, back in the old days.

To make it look mint u would need to cut the front off of the ke guards and weld the trueno fronts on. This isn't impossible. The easiest way would be to cut the ke guard right in front of the arch, the complete length of the guard. That way the front bar once fitted will follow the arch down correctly

Oh you just reminded me about bumpers. KE70 chassis rails are like 50mm shorter than AE86. KE70 bumpers mount from the side. AE86 mounts from in front and on top IIRC. Another thing to deal with.

so custom brackets should sort most fitment problems?

i honestly don't think it is too hard if you know how to weld + work with fiberglass
i mean, silvias have done all the front half conversion you can think of, just if your really bothered to do it or not..

as above you would have to cut both guards in half and weld to match, then bog to get fitment, then make a whole new guard from fiberglass, or just use the metal one as it is as prototype.. again that's if your really bothered

Dude, S-chassis stuff is all off the shelf fibreglass (genuine and knock off) except for the black and red S15 with 180 front but noone ever goes backwards with fronts anyway.

what i was getting at is, they just didn't appear on the shelf... someone had to do the hard yards to begin with..
