Hi have replaced my release bearing in my Hachi as over time it got noisier then started grinding.
Pulled it out last week and replaced it, the bearing I pulled out was really stuffed with movement in the bearing and when shaken it rattled.
The new bearing was quiet for a day now when the clutch is engaged it has a slight grinding noise , but comes and goes whilest the pedal is pushed.
I'm not happy as I don't want to pull the box out again!!!
Can anyone shed some light on what could be the culprit?

Spigot bearing also possibly worn out? When does it make the noise?

It only makes the noise when clutch pedal is pushed. In gear or in neutral.

They are always a little noisy. Just turn the music up.

Could be either spigot, release or gearbox input shaft bearings.

This happens alot when folks go for stiff clutches, its a fact that cant be corrected, stiff clutch = more forces for the release bearing = wears out quicker or you just live with it.
