Hi people just new to ae86drivingclub and thought i would share my ae86 i have been building up as a street/occassional track car.
I picked this up as a rolling shell fully dismantled off a mate that had it dried stored for ten yrs who had a 20v and five speed sitting in it. when he owed me some cash from a car he purchased from him he gave it to me minus engine and box. i always wanted a sprinter having owened and built a couple of fast utes previously i saw it as a good oportunity to make something that could actually hold on to corners. i had a n/a sr20 and loom sitting around as well as a skyline 5speed and did some research on fitment options and made custom mounts up and fitted engine and r32 box into the ae86.
So far it has-
Jap t series disc brake rear
new koni sport yellow adjustable rav4 shocks up front and koni yellow sport rear
king springs all round
whiteline panhard rod
All bushes front to back replaced with nolathane ones
cusco adjustable camber plates
work ewing 15x6.5 wheels
sr20 n/a with rsr 4 into 1 stainless headers
intake pipe
r32 skyline box with sr20 bellhousing
Standard ecu
Nardi gold steering wheel
all stock interior complete
bright yellow paint which is goin to be changed very soon.

266182661926620cheers for the comments. It does go better than i thought it would. its definately slower than my sr turbo motor i had in my other car but you can hold it wide open throttle round corners and even with basic suspension it handles great. lookin to get some swaybars when funds permit and a front lower lip. i have a turbo setup and pwr intecooler but my plans are to learn to drive better first than i will update diff to a tarago diff and bolt it all on and see how it lasts with high comp motor.

Small update i bought some rota grid classics in 15x7 027343offset. i have money.aside to fit some federal rsrs before race season feb next yr. car is currently about to be stripped this weekend for a new rocket red paint job. hopefully i dont find any nastys under the current paint but it all looks pretty straight just small imperfections i will attend. getting 4.11 diff gears fitted to my standard lsd centre also.

Had a fair amount of progression on the ae86 in the last two months. Basically stripp28162ed all the paint back to access any body repair requirements. Fixed a small amount of rust and had my panel beater friend help me get it straight as. Ive just finished painting the shell the rest gets done this weekend28157[/ATTA28158CH]28159[ATTACH=CONFIG]2816128160

welcome to the forums mate. cars looking great, very neat and tidy. those high comp SR's are great with the turbo gear bolted on. awesome midrange, it would be awesome in the 86. ive only ever driven one in an s13 but it was really pokey

sounds good mate. is it worth looking for the pulsar itbs and selling the 26 itbs to recoup cost? cause they should bolton.

Ahh gtir itb's need to be cut and reversed etc. so not straight bolt up they do have bigger openings then the rb ones though. Something to look into later i spose.
