Im using xt130 struts with the hsd coilover sleeves and I was wondering what shocks would be best to use in them and also how much you should cut out of the tube.
Thanks.

there are a few guides around, do some good searching and you'll find them.
what inserts really depends on your budget, most people settle with kyb's but you can get bilsteins if you want to spend more.
know what spring rates your going to run? what do you use the car for mainly?

8611-1259 koni pr 8610-1437 if you're happy with single adjustable shocks

or some valved bilsteins.

I used koni yellows out of an ae92, took 40mm out of the strut and put a 20mm spacer in the bottom, this is all from memory though

Im running sw20 mr2 koni yellow in one car and st185 koni yellow in the other.

The st185 is for those who like their cars low. My coilovers are just cut to suit 332mm shock body of sv21, st185, or ae92 shocks. I think its just a bit too short a setup. Im using the sw20s to get more stroke and adjustment.
