Hey all.

Selling my 1984 Toyota Corolla AE71 (Not KE70) CSX Manual - These AE71's are becoming harder to find with the 5 speed and 4A-C stock in 9/10 condition.

It was resprayed white with black bumpers about 2 years ago and still polishes up fantastic, there is about 2 or 3 minor stone chips, but nothing very noticeable or hard to fix at all. There is a few little marks on the rear bumper but will paint for buyer if they want. It has a very strong 5 Speed Manual gearbox that is really tight and has never ever crunched. It has a heavy duty clutch that was replaced about 20000km ago and is still as good as new, really really good http://www.rollaclub.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.png. It has the stock brown interior that is 9.9/10 condition, the boot mat has shown signs of age tho. It has a 1.6L 4A-C (Single Carby) Engine that has travelled 254xxx and is still really tight and strong. Has had Clutch and Brake Master Cylinder replaced like a week ago (Nothing wrong with them, just got them some new ones for free of a friend.. WIN! http://www.rollaclub.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.png Also the Regulator was replaced about 2 months ago and the Air filter about a week ago. Sits on level 2 lowered king springs (not too low, just looks really good and handles like a dream). Has had a 2 and 3/4? I think exhaust put in about 2 years ago aswell, makes the most deep sounds its great; but it is not too loud http://www.rollaclub.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.png. Has genuine factory alloy wheels with about 40 - 50 % tread, 1 of the tyres is the spare since I ran over a nail and blew the the tyre, but I can organize to get a new tyre for about $40. Has got all the connections for a subwoofer, it is not connected tho, will be included in the sale. Has a brand new Ipod/mp3 head unit with 4 new clarion? speakers not 100% sure but they are fantastic speakers. Also has a tow bar and is the slant front style lights. The car has been meticulously maintained by a proper Toyota enthusiast and is always garaged. The overall condition of the car is 9/10 has next to no rust, very very small slight bubbles that have started to emerge on the roof and a tiny tiny bit on the passengers side in the inside (very hard to spot) and under the bonnet latch but very easily repaired http://www.rollaclub.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.png

Reason for sale is just looking for something a bit different as had this car for about 5 years now.

Will consider trades + Cash either way depending on the car, PM me if interested. Other than that, looking for $5000 INCLUDING 6 Months Rego, Subwoofer, New headunit and new speakers.

If any information is needed do no hesitate to pm or call me on 0499292440 or 54457734.

The bumpers and the tiny stone chips are being professionally painted this weekend so the whole body will be next to perfect :)

More better photos will be uploaded tomorrow afternoon!

Located in Flaxton (about 20 minutes from Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast) Qld

Thanks Everyone - Josh

Without seeing it?

Aside from the Camry, Corolla dealership quoting it would sell with them for 5.5 - 7k

Whats to see? its a stock 84 ae71 corolla. youll see when you have it for sale for a while. not trying to have a dig, but 5k is twice as much as what its worth.

Then sell it to them.

If some young muppet has 5k for a stock ae71 (with omg new autoban special head unit), then best of luck.
This is not a 5k car, nor is it a classic.
It's a 28 y.o Toyota.

Yeah of course, I get people asking to buy it everyday, its a perfect example for a 4age replacement, the ke70 didnt have the bigger breaks and better suspension as to the CSX did. Or just keep it like this, it would still slide the same :)

You have people asking to buy it and its still in a for sale thread?

I don't think anyone on here has ever kept ae71 breaks either.

I'm actually in the market for a car. For 5 k I could overlook that it doesn't have a 4ag, if it has decent ae86 suspension, a nardi and some ma61's. if that was the case, I would have picked it up and freighted it home in a heartbeat.

Yes people will ask you about the car daily but it is not worth 5k. If a member spent time/money doing engine conversion and/or suspension it would be worth around 5k. But the sad matter is that you have nothing but a toyota in decent condition (has rust) with no mods. Don't mean to sound like a dick but that's just me comparing your car to others I have seen on this website and a few other.

Best of luck with the sale.

2000 is what it's worth top dollar if your lucky to find a buyer.
Sick of prices going up on cars due to "popularity" or the "drift craze"

I have a ke70 with quadlight front, full respray (we own a shop), 5kc with 5 speed, fender mirrors, coilovers, 14x7 0 offset wheels, and I would be looking at selling it for $4000-$3500 incl RWC once my 86 begins to require more money spent for the resto.

If someone offers you $3000, take it and run.
