Hello again

First of all - Thank you to all of you who chose to buy parts through me, I have dedicated a lot of time and money to developing and having parts produced, by Australians. Most of the engineers I use to make my parts are doing it tough and they appreciate my business as I appreciate yours. The strong AUD has hampered my exports and made me quite uncompetitive on some items and made it only easier for those who soley import their products. I understand not everything can be made here for a number of factors, but as AJPS approaches its 10th year of trading (look out for new 10 year anniversary merchandise in the new year) we vow to continue to support local businesses wherever possible, even if that means lower profit margins.

****

Been a busy few months at AJPS

We had the chance to go to the Nurburgring and drive the new Toyota GT86. Was an amazing experience. For a standard car it was responsive, progressive and FUN. We were also lucky enough to get to drive a friends Jaguar on the autobahn which did eventually get to the 250k/ph after our earlier efforts being hampered by traffic. Impressive for a diesel.

Back home we entered the corolla in the Legend of the Lakes hillclimb in Mt Gambier. Was such a great event. We won the 1601-2000cc Improved Production Class by 3.4 seconds and came 7th outright 2wd and 34th outright from 150 entries. Will have a cage and more power next year, very keen to see how it goes. Unfortunately me being as shit with electronics as I am, couldnt work out the go pro (think the SD card was full) so I dont have any footage.

Was a good event for 1980s Toyotas - Mark Mills in his 2jzgte Rt142 corona was 1st 2wd outright, and 1st in the sports sedan class and Dillion Pederson in grandads 20v ae71 took out the 1-1601 category and in the process took the long standing record for that catergory as well.

We will be advertising a lot of stuff soon, quite cheap, have a lot of leftovers and old stock, will make a thread in the coming weeks once I make a list.

Also some old tyres with 30-50% tread will be sold cheap.

We have been getting some good feedback on the new swaybar specs

We are still supporting Australian made products and workers despite what the competition is largely doing.

Will be doing specials on

Australian made Super Pro full bush kits
Australian made Performance Wheels
Australian made under car surge tanks
Australian made ra60 (90mm) RCA
AJPS apparel (printed and designed in Australia)

Hopefully have a cash and carry bbq and cruise. If people want to have the second hand tyres fitted up on the day that is no worries.

Until then, have a good summer, enjoy the cricket, the weather, watch out for speed cameras/defect stations and keep the corollas strong.

Look out for an AJPS.com.au website update in the next few days. - If anyone is good with page lime I need some new pics and pages put up offering discount or parts as payment.

Good work mate, the car will be so much better when the cage is in.

Thanks, yep there is more time in it for sure, we were poorly prepared. Looking to have the cage done before Mt Alma
