Gents,
In piecing together my AE86 which had no dash to begin with, I have bought a dash which didn't have any of the switches with it. So naturally I jumped on eBay and bought a bunch of stuff, one of which was a rear demister switch that came from the US. The ad said "84 85 86 87 Corolla GT-S SR5" to which I thought "yeah whatever, it's all the same".
Anyway, the switch turned up, and would you believe it has a 5-pin plug on it. So I went looking for wiring diagrams and the only ones I can find of both the ADM and USDM both show a 3-pin plug (albeit a different shape). So now I have a demister with 2 wires that I have no idea what to do with. I used a multimeter to check continuity on the mystery ones, and they don't have any connection in either on or off position.
This is the switch I got:

Here's the plug:

Here's the wiring colours:

(those aren't my photos, just another one I found on eBay because I'm lazy)
So the B/W wire is a ground, the blue ones (one of them has a red trace) are the actual demister power as they have continuity with the switch on, but not off. The green ones are the ones that I have no idea about.
Did my switch possibly come out of a late model USDM AE86? Doing a Google image search shows me a few different types of switches, such as this:

Any knowledge on the subject would be very helpful.
Cheers,
Ben
