hi all
NOOB question as i know little about the 4age
want to isntall and oil pressure sensor instead of oem sender
im assuming its a 1/8bpst
Also what is the bolt next to it?
can it be used for oil temp?
any idea of thread
any help is much appreciated

im pritty sure but maybe wrong that would have coolant behind that bolt

has anyone put a water temp sensor here? or is that too hot?

T piece for oil temp sensor onto where stock one goes.
Just use an adapter in rad hose like everyone else does?

fair enough will go with the t peice, yeah have the rad hose adaptor but thats running the thermostat for the thermos

yes you an run a temp sensor there for coolant
the one to the left of it is oil

I have been told that if you do run a T-peice then don't use brass as the vibrations can snap it off and that will destroy your engine. I can't see that happening to something out of steel though

Yep, wrote about that in my build thread as I had that happen to me a year ago. It isn't so much the vibrations alone, but the vibrations combined with the weight of the pressure sender and switch hanging off the brass.
I ran a single line from the block to a remotely mounted T-piece in the engine bay. No issues at all now :)
