Replacing front main oil seal (crank oil seal) 4ac.

Just a quick question, do you need to remove the oil pump to remove the front main oil seal or can you pry out the seal with the oil pump assembled and the crank still within the middle of the seal.

Any other tips of how to remove/replace it would be extremely helpful ie. what tool to replace oil seal, how to pry it out etc.

Yes you can.

You can drill a small screw into it (if enough room) and use pliers on the screw to pull the seal out (maybe 2 screws on each side with 2 pliers). I just get a small screw driver, tap the outside corner of the seal and pry it out gently.
