Vin won't work on revs

Hey guys, sorry about this, but I'm trying to check my car on revs check qld, but it keeps telling me the vin has to be 17 characters long, but they don't come that long. Have any of you guys had this problem before ?

Older cars have chassis numbers not vins

in vic, alot of older cars have the engine number listed, best to call them.

like said above, you dont have a VIN, you have a chassis number
