73's look way more baller. 83's probably more comfortable, do love to BHG though. Check out Clinton's 73.

83's do love to blow head gaskets alot. unless you buy one that never has had a blown head gasket and then get it changed youre wasting your time.

once they blow the engine will never be the same. it will suffer from heat damage. thats why you want one without a blown head gaket ever and fix the problem before it happens. they head bolts need torquing to fix it.

buy a mx73 (with standard 5mge not 5me) with pimp maroon interior

put either of these wheels on (both 15x8 0 offset)

get some lowered springs and wack a w5x box in and youre done.

my beast has a 5m-e in it. if its just for a daily it doesnt mean shit man. just drive it. thats the whole point of a daily imo...

83 all day

73 look more bozo, but 83 are a nicer car!

fuel economy is where its at for a daily. the twin cams have better fuel economy. the only difference between getting one with a 5me and a 5mge is just looking. price wise they cost the same so why not get the better?

if you know how to drive to conserve fuel a manual conversion will be cheaper on fuel aswell. theyre easy to convert, just need the box (and clutch and shifter)+bell+tailshaft (dont remember which tailshaft to use). the auto crossmember can be used.

edit: i drive a mx83 as a daily. its a price of crap. comfortable but fuel economy is rediculous. i get the same fuel economy as a 4wd. when i rev it out to 6 grand it just makes noise, doesnt go anywhere. i try to not let it rev past 2.5k to save fuel and even that doesnt do anything.

get the highest trim level possible on any old car.

make sure the car is clean and minimal rust. go for less rust over trim level.

Clinton

glxi trim is win man. haha. soooo pimp. all my friend always say they feel like they are sitting on a couch not in a car. untill i took the springs out..

if i was going down that road it would only be to slide it, for a daily i would get a jzx90 diseaseal, pick one up for like 2500k in good nic, drove one around a wee bit, go alright for a daily, use no fuel what so ever.

yer i know you had no springs , but the bumps stop are pretty sketch , i wouldnt be driving to much just on them , there like the size of a dildo. anyway your choice , what else is done to 73 or is it just stock , i dunno what im doing with mine , it sits in the garage and never gets driven.
