I'm looking to put a fuel surge tank in to my ae85, it's still got the factory carby fuel tank so gets fuel surge pretty bad.

Ive got the surge tank and the car has a rb30 external pump allready installed. I have got a spare rb30 pump and wanted to use one as a lift pump and one as a main feed pump. Will this work? I know the usual style lift pump is a low pressure high litre per minute.

Will this flow too much? Will it cause too much pressure in the surge tank?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

not sure how well that will work. you would be better off running a lift pump to feed the rb30 pump.

Go out and get yourself a VL intake fuel pump and make it work. Or any other sort of intake for that matter. I used one off an ae93 corolla. And then use the RB30 external fuel pump as your main feed like you already suggested.

It'll work fine. The pressure pump will move to a different point on the curve since there's a lot less pressure on it and flow a lot more. It won't pressure up the surge tank since there's no restriction in the system (ie. fpr).
