Hi all

Has anyone had success mating an early omori oil temp gauge (mechanical type) with a 4age or oil filter relocation plate?

I will get some pics when I get home but I've been to every hydraulic place I can think of and they all don't want to know about it. From what I've gathered I have a m16 x 1.5 thread sender and a m18 x 1.5 hole in my grex filter relocation plate. No one has an adapter.

Does omori do an adapter, maybe one that goes into the sump hole (not ideal cos then the line to the gauge is at risk of hitting ripple strips etc)? Yahoo auctions is a nightmare trying to translate there descriptions.

Sorry for the vague description. This is doing my head in. I'll get some pics soon.

Omori used to sell a sump plug adapter, once it's screwed in it shouldn't really be able to hit on a ripple strip.

Paging benzo to thread as he had one done with an adapter plate, think it was some old school japanese one though.

You could do something like this https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productselection.asp?Product=1227

or just do sump with one of these http://www.autometer.com/cat_accessorieslist.aspx?pid=9

I'm using this. 29161
Genuine omori meter relocation kit. Runs mechanical oil temp gauge. Got a mate to buy it second hand in Japan. Not sure if they still make them but you could try yahoo.

Thanks for the info lads. The more I think about it I might just weld a nut onto my sump. It's off right now anyway.
