This is an extremely tidy car, it handles and drives great. It has been super reliable and never caused an issue. It's just becoming more and more impractical for me at this stage in life and I'm unable to have 2 cars due to living circumstances. I wish I could pack it up and keep it in a garage for the next 10 years but I can't justify having that much capital held in a car sitting in a shed...

I was under the impression it was an ADM coupe, original photos of the car would suggest it is as well...

Take a photo of the complience plate and chassis no. On the fire wall.. does this car have any racing history that ypu know of?

I believe it was owned by cypher industries in Perth for a substantial period of time. They were a substantial Toyota performance place and we're apparently very cluey with sprinters.

Outside of that it was purchased by the guy I bought it off from their workshop where it'd been for some time. He spent a bomb repainting and getting everything up to scratch.

I'm not sure if it's been raced in its previous form. Since its been built its only spent one day up at barbagello raceway with me at a test and tune day. However being owned by cypher I'm sure it had some track time on it before it was rebuilt...

Hi

Not here to pick on the car, just trying to pass on info regarding thes cars.

Never were than any 2 dr coupes imported into australia via Toyota.

There were a couple 3 dr hatches that made it in for rally etc which at one stage werethan at a later stage registered on the road many years ago. Not sure if anyone on here has one of those cars but i do recall one for sale around 15 yrs ag in SYD as i went and had a look at it. Those didn't require any modiforcation plate on them in those days, showing my age now.

All ADM cars have the Australian compliance plate on them, located just behind the Intake manifold on the firewall, which this one doesn't have.

The ADM bottle was most probably just put in it due to not have the JDM bottle at the time when rebuilt. ( can supply NEW or Secondhand JDM bottles if new buyer is interested)

I would say by looking at the pics, it is a JDM 2dr Zenki coupe. It might of started as an AE85 in JApan which came with a cary 3A motor and then been converted to EFI setup etc etc.
Would need to see the chassis code on the fire wall. ( will be either AE85XXXXX ( Carby) or AE86XXXXXX ( EFI)

Very nice clean car otherwise.

Goodluck with the sale.

Cheers

There was a few coupes brought over. One was owned by a toyota dealership owner, Red in colour with adm compliance plate.
James has seen it in person here in victoria.
Anyway sorry to threadjack, good luck with the sale.
Should take a pic of the build plate

Still yet to take a photo of the plate. Keep forgetting. Still have this beast.

It is definitely an ae85. That much know. Original photos of the car show it to have faded black bumpers etc.

So we'll take it as being a jdm ae85 coupe with a 4age in it... I had always assumed it was an ADM coupe. Learn something new about these cars every day...
