Bands are available new from ROH I think. My set of bands I got from Neway wheels around $70ish bucks each...

Thanks paul, eastern wheel works also sells bands/hoops/barrels for $70, currently there is a auction for a set of 12 slotters for $55.What weight did your steelies end up being anyway?

Didn't actually weigh them so not sure. They have steel from the 13 inch band in them still to step them up an inch in diameter, so more weight.

Yep. The ed civic steelies im using are 4mm thick steel, Weigh a ton.

I think I've started a trend in my area, there's a bloke who works next door who is now running phat custom steelies on his late model golf. They look sweet too, he had the centres powdercoated black and the bands clear powdercoat. So the blue colour on the join from the manufacturing of the band shows.

Probably to be able to show the police they have a single weld, legally widended steelies can only have one weld
