Hi guys I'm a long time ae86 fan and had my fair share of ae86 my last one was a 480rwhp levin drift car and the one befor that was a fast fours featured levin hatch EFN20v. So the story goes I had a mint s15 silvia and one unfortunat afternoon I was driving home in the pissing rain and aqua planed and hit a tree. Sad day for me as it was my wedding car. But in saying that I had the want for another ae86 and I was in no rush to by one till the right one came up.
I wanted a genuine trueno coupe and I though for sure there will be a solid wait for the right car. But to my luck I found one in qld it's actually ke_70 old coupe. This little Asian fella had it he loved the car but had no idea about the car or how to take care of it. So it was filthy and just no maitnance kept up to it :( . I could see this car could be something special and finding no rust in it I made a deal and I'm now the new owner of this amazing coupe

Well my first pic was 86 PORN and they sent me a letter denying them I was soooo bummed

Well had a big arvo on the notchi tonight all I can say is the last owner needed a bullet.
So this arvo she got a new fuel filter as the old one was making fuel brown wtf!!!!!
I wd40 the throttle cable and re ran it so the accelerate wasnt so hard
And I pulled the throttle bodies off and adaptor to clean them out as they were all filthy dirty
I did have a close look at the head and im not sure but it may have had a port and polish any one know what there looking at and can tell me if it has ill post some pics.
I also removed that ugly brake reservoir on the fire wall and replaced it with a plazmaman vacume block also re drilled and tapped out the adaptor plate for 1/8th fittings for the brake booster. Well here are a few pics of it all done and the head enjoy322183222032221

Also considering buying a genuine origin bodykit for it what are people's thoughts on body kits for the 86 coupe I'm in two minds I love kits but also don't want to wreck the car. Or I could turn it into a big toy car and keep all parts to swap it back to stock any time I want and have the best of both worlds ;)

Well quick update the car is at efi evolutions in coofs harbour and will be getting a tune this week some time . Had a few little issues with the car and they are getting sorted out so hopefully will be all sorted in a week or so and it will make a number

32445324463244332444Quick update we have found a few issues with the car we have replaced the cam gears and done a belt we found that the previous owner that had done a timing belt was out a tooth and they have tryed compensating this buy adjusting the toda cam gears :shocked: so now it is idling well and seems to be running alot nicer. Also found the exhaust manifold runner two was cracked so were getting that welded up as well. Good news a few parts arrived today I recived my clear cam cover not sure how long it will stay clear though and also got a pair of work equipe 03 in 15x7 zero for skiders just waiting for my other set from japan to get here. Also modded some rocker covers I delted the factory breather and got two -10 weld on fitting welded to the top just got to design a catch tank and make that next .

Had the exhaust fixed and sorted today also got it run up on the dyno and it made 116rwhp im thinking its a little low but hey they make what they make the tuner said it revs so much better and quicker so looking forward to going and picking it up in a week or so and seeing how it drives. He is also fitting an idle control motor so the car idles on cold start and when I turn the ac on

I would be pulling it apart further, something is up. Sounds like it hasn't had anything done internally and is just a standard engine with cams and ITB's to me. Seems a bit of a waste to cut up a nice example like this to put an SR into.

It would be a shame to put an SR into something so clean as this. I wouldn't really trust the specs list that someone has given.. Maybe start opening the motor up and figuring out what it has/doesn't have?

so havent had a update for a while. Got the kit all pre fitted up and it fitted really well quiet happy with it to be honest. So ive primed it and sprayed it myself came out pretty good for a shed job. Ive wrapped all my factory bumpers and stored them just incase I want to go back to stock. And then there a few pics of the finished result love how it looks. But im still waiting on my work equip 03 wish they would get here already :(

also got my mate to fab up some alloy catch tanks one for overflow and the other is a washer bottleand catch can in one really happy with them also. Just painting them at the moment will get some finished pics up. Also had some weld ons fitted to my rocker covers and ive painted them a nice red 3286732868

Well got the fronts on I fitted some achillies 123 semi slicks 195 50 r15. Rears im waiting on them tyres going 175 50 r15.
Front looks great very happy with them

Everyone goes factory Kouki bumpers though, gets a bit boring after a while. Do whatever you think looks good. Having wider tires on the front does look kinda funny though.

Got me a pair of bride reclinable seats and a ditachable hub for it this week seats are so much more comfy. Also got my exhaust finished all made from extractors back in 2 and a quater sou ds great very happy with it :)

Think of doing an engine cinversion to it though gonna sell the 16v and ecu . Not sure what to go though 20v beams na sr20 choices choices choices. I love sr20 motors but its not really the right motor beams im not sure dont find them appealing for some odd reason and en 20v ive had and enjoyed and that would keep the motor car combo right. My aim is 200hp but I really wanna try keep it na what are your thoughts guys give me some pro and cons

Its really giving me the shits now not having any balls to skid. So finally got a chance to do a comp test I I have 200 200 205 210 so it seems to be fine and is this high b for a 4age would you thinkit has high comp pistons or not ???

That's reasonably high, what sort of pistons and more importantly cams is it supposed to have?

Its either got 256 or 264 toda type r cams not sure though. Ive taken covers off and all I can see on the cams is toda type R.
I can see I metal head gasket also and is ment to have high comp pistons and rods bearings done as well.
Its been tuned by a mob in melbourne by first owner not sure on power figure, was then tuned up at qld at pitts and made 105hp then I had it retuned at efi evolution and made 115rwhp. Mind you he was a useless tuner made me by new adjustable cam gears as he was adimit I had fake cam gears as the toda ones the lines dont line up properly I told him this is the way they are but he made me by new ones. I drove it on the highway today took it for a long drive and it dose blow alittle black smoke seems to be fuely in parts of the map.

Havent had a post in a while had a few issues with the tune but seems to be sorted now just need to have it back on the dyno to make sure all is 100%. Also bought a new set or br coilovers, slotted front rotors, wheel bearings and new bendix pads. Also fitted some hard race castor arms going in for a wheel alignment this friday was going to run -2.5 cqmber +3 castor and 1mm total toe out.

finally got my origin rear bar and side skirts painted no just me doing a home job and we have come to a verdict ill stick to my day job im no painter hahaha.
car now looks amazing plus ive fitted some brand new xt130 laca for better fitment. and I have just ordered a set of powercraft 4 to 1 headers and cat back hks exhaust system for her. once these arrive its going for one final tune at silver water dyno services and hopefully she will go a little better again3514435145

So its been a while sence i uploaded some pics finally got my powercraft headers and hks exhaust system. Those headers are a work of art best money ive spent. I also painted the rocker covers and went a diffrent catch can setup.
i managed to get the headers modded to keep powersteer with these headers, but the a/c had to go.
Im finally ready for a tune this thursday and see how it goes.

So got it retuned this week at silverwater automotive services in sydney and all i can say is what a diffrence the tune is well and truely better and now the car makes a happy 138rwhp at 8200rpm has alot more go down low to compare the last tune so over all pretty happy.
