So, after a couple years of running a Hyundai Accent radiator on my 3sg. I've decided I want more cooling capacity.

Anyone got suggestions for off the shelf radiators that would be double or triple core. Fit relatively easy, IE: not making a new core support, making brackets or hoses may be ok. And be a worth while upgrade compared to having a custom radiator made.

Outlets preferably on the left side of the engine bay. Passenger side for you guys (drivers for the LHD world).

Pic's if you've got them. Here's my current setup:

Koyo/Mishimoto AE86 radiators have both inlet/outlet on the wrong side. Or I would never have sold mine lol.

I recently had a similar task and spent eleventy billion years scouring radiator catalogues such as this one: http://www.ashdown-ingram.com.au/product-range/radiators

You can't get a cheap eBay 3core alloy replacement Accent radiator?

I can wish lol. They don't make one... anywhere I can find.

Are you doing a similar setup now?

No, unfortunately no 3S for me, I was just replacing the dodgy second hand radiator I used to get the 4AGZE running in my car... 10 yrs ago. I needed a narrower one so I can run SC piping beside it through the opening in the radiator support panel.

Clearly not enough Accents on the track for them to hit "race, drift, drag, upgrade" ebay fame.

Dug up this thread:

According to another member here an AE101 will fit with relocated lower mounts, and stock upper mounts.

EVO 4/5/6 will fit with webbing mods for cap. Possibly lower mounts moved too.

(EVO 3 listed in link, but outlet in wrong place for a 1/2/3)

EDIT: after further research this one appears to be a Tercel/Paseo (EL5x) radiator, installs very clean:

Get a dual or triple core.

I'd looked at Civic radiators, but ended up with one from an AE71. Slightly wider I think and the mounts were pretty easy.

From experience, ST162 (possibly the same as ST20x above) fit easily, including their twin thermofans. S13 radiator required bashing the bonnet webbing to clear the top tank.

Well, looks like the ae9x may be the winner for now. The 4 dr auto/5 door hatch version is 25mm core and I can get one for less than $60 shipped new. A bit more width, and should do a better job than the 16mm hyundai one.

Took some online pics and overlayed them to see what I thought would be easiests for now. Just wish there were some dual core aluminum ones for the AE92 available easily in the states.

Fits and works. One mount off on the bottom, tops work with a spacer on one. Found some hoses on the wall at the parts store that fit after some searching.

32638I used a Gemini 3-core for my ke70, the lower is on the passenger and upper is on the driver but because of the top tank style it is very easy to swap it to the other side if necessary.
it was the biggest one that i could find and it uses the side mounts so it is very easy to fit, just enlarge the width of the original opening and drill some new holes.
