I'm putting a blacktop into my KE70 and need to sort a radiator. Looking for good quality at a reasonable price. After doing some searching I figure my options are:

•eBay alloy race radiator
•New AE71 copper core radiator
•Used hyundai Excel radiator as per SamQ write up.

What's the best option here? I'm usually pretty wary of eBay stuff but I know there's Chinese and there's "Chinese" when it comes to quality. Anyone had good experiences with a particular brand?

Depending on use (it's not going to be a burnout car I assume) then any of them should do. A friend has an eBay alloy job in his 20V AE86 and it works fine. An old rooted two core Gemini radiator (about the same size as an AE71 rad) kept my 4AGZE cool unless drifting flat out in 30+ degree heat. Another option is an ST162 Celica radiator and thermo fans, which is pretty similar to the Excel setup. It's kept my 4AC cool even on track... yeah, that's not that impressive is it.

I'd choose the one that would be easiest/cheapest/give you the most bling.

90% of radiators out there do more than they need to , as the thermostat spends allot of its time shut anyway.

I ran a factory ke70 one in mine without issues.
