I own an ae71 panel van, Only found out yesterday they come stock with the same suspension as the sprinters I have already purchased xt130 struts hubs, control arms etc, is it worth me putting it in or should I stick with the 86 gear? Running a jdm bigport 272 cams, high comp, itbs and gze injectors.

cheers.

xt130 stuff is a bit bigger but up to you really, more parts readily available for ae86 gear. On the other hand ae86 gear is worth more than the xt130 stuff so you could end up in profit for the switch.

I guess the question you need to ask yourself is what you are trying to achieve?

Id stick with AE86 struts and get some upgraded JDM brakes, i would keep the xt130 control arms and install them with new bushes and joints as they are longer, keep your stock ones as spares for when you bend one

I run JDM brakes on my AE71 and they have held up fine on a bunch of track days I have run

Do you even plan on taking it to the track?

Not to any huge extent, this is going to be my new daily. Only a few times a year.
