Had a look at an RT142 cable once, it'd work, but you'd have to hack it up. Pretty poor solution overall.
EP92 starlet is the go.

Some wreckers will have them, not all that uncommon.

With the clutch hard line, you're after one to suit the JDM bellhousing, is this correct? If so, I may have one available.

Just looked at carsales and most the starlets are EP91 in that shape, is there any difference between the EP91/92? They seem to be a 97-99 model. I'm also nearly up to throttle cable mounting and have an RT142 cable, just yet to try it and willing to scrap the idea for something better if I find it isn't up to scratch...

I think the one I got it from was an EP92 because it was a GT with a 4EFTE. But, there is no reason a standard one with a 4EFE engine shouldn't work and I think the EP91's are just the 4EFE version and they share the same intake an TB turbo or not.
The sheath on the cable is a really good length and the part which bolt to the firewall is exactly the same as an E7 (unlike the RT142 one, at least the one I saw). Depending on your manifold though you may find that the wire cable is a little too long, so you may need to shorten it, but thats not a big deal.
