Its like, hmmm, do i want to buy a 300hp jzx100 or 150hp 86 for my 15k?

Decisions, decisions.

You could also buy a substantially nice AE86 with similar specs for not much more. I think $8k is more than reasonable, the only parts really worth anything is the motor and diff?

Easy decision, for 15k you'd find allot better examples out there.

Who buys a car puts a motor in and asks 12k more a month and a bit later?

yeah had it on the dyno when everything was in my ke70 before i crashed (had different fuel and exhaust setup tho) made round 165hp. does need a retune coz different fuel setup and exhaust. and jimmee if you find an ae86 in similar condition with the same mods for 8k ill sell u it for 8k, its straight barely any rust, interior is good, and iv spent a fuckload on the motor/ecu/headers/diff/etc.. spent more than 8k building the motor

Usually I have the attitude it is their car let it sell for whatever... But you definately come across as being dishonest.

3k for car. 2k for diff. 1-2k for ecu and loom. 1k shocks and brakes. 1k for fuel wheels seat. Then the cost of the engine. Not saying he'll get 15k but I can understand why his asking it.

just because you spend $1 on a car doesnt mean its worth $1 more. you can ask what you want for it but as others have said before 15k is really reaching for the stars. even if this motor was in a more sought after JDM Coupe you would probably only get 12-14k for it.

Your missing my point. Hell is unlikely to get the 15k for the car. But he'll get very close if he parts it

you are right i did miss that point, and i also agree

how am i being dishonest ? the motor build cost about 8.5k (excluding the rwd parts).. rolling shell 3k, diff cost me 2.5k, ecu and loom wired 2k, headers 1.2k then wheels, fuel, coilovers, brakes, etc etc this thing was built properly and no cheap shit parts besides the rota rims were used. and i saw a stock blacktop in a trueno go for 19k lol ....

Yes a trueno, not a track car that was painted in a backyard. My dishonest comments were based on the claims of power figures with no dyno graph to match it up and the pics that are up aren't exactly the best representation of what the car looks like.

But hey, you buy a car that is reasonably well known from a forum member, add a drive line and put it up for sale straight away for nearly 2x what it is really worth and that sets off some alarm bells
