stupid NSW road laws...you cant ride them around but can ride a bike with a eletric/ petrol motor...

The engines are limited to 200 watts, which makes them legal for use on the road without a licence or registration, at least that's how it works down here in tassie, if you had one you could ride straight past the cops and they can't touch you (providing you're following all the road markings, lights, etc.).

But the other states road laws are all backwards, so it might be different up there........

Yeah i was thinking about getting one when i lost my licence, ending up getting an electric mountain bike, much better i reckon, can ride it normally fine, the scooter might be a bit harder. I now have an petrol 50cc motor for my push bike, much better :D

Good thing is is that they charge as you pedal, There is a pink bicycle looking one that goes past work, In my mates words 'You pedal all week and on the last day you can just ride it home on your pedal credits' Ha.
