Registered today on the forum and was unsure where to post an intro thread. :P

My name is Mick and I live in Victoria. A long term Holden enthusiast, I have recently grown to appreciate the KE70 Corolla.

A recent visit to the Melbourne Jamboree and having a look at the Drift exhibitions has opened my eyes. Checking out a KE70 Sedan while I was there, it got me thinking that I have an Auntie with a low KM KE70 in her garage she has not driven in years. Hmmmmm, new project !!!

I haven't got the car yet as im in the middle of house renovations etc, but im considering taking it off her hands and tinkering on it. Flared guards, stretched tyres etc.

When/if I get the KE70 ill start a build thread, although it wont have much updated till $$$ allow. Till then, ill be browsing the threads in here and checking out all the KE70's for ideas and inspiration.

EDIT:

Here are a few photos of the 1981 KE70 I should have my hands on soon. My Auntie does not drive it anymore but she still enjos having a car in the garage. She purchased it brand new from the local Toyota dealership and rarely drove it. As you can see, she has had a couple of small accidents in it. Interior is brand new also.

Cheers again,

An easier way to navigate through just the ae71/ke70 build threads is this link here ke70 build threads (http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/rides/showrides.php?&Order=1&Direction=0&Models=5&page=1)

UPDATE: I take ownership of this KE70 in the next few weeks once I clear some space in my garage to store it. Found out its a 1981 model and manual. Unsure of engine size etc.

Will go check it out in the next week or so, charge the battery, fill the petrol tank and see if it cranks over.
