Going through the process of revaluation etc for insurance on the old girl and need to pick the forum brainz.

Does anyone know a place in Brisbane or Goldy that would be able to give a decent valuation on a hatchi knowing what they are worth/what people like us are willing to pay etc?

Just looking to see insurance wise what value I want to place on it and if the insurance company is giving a good price when they do etc.
Or maybe a separate thread called valuations on here where you post pics and specs of all the usual pinch points and any other bits that need talking about, then everyone pitches in a cost of what they would pay for it?
Dunno, just throwing it out there to see.

Well you just need to ring the insurance companies until you find one that'll do agreed value. Shannons would be your best bet...market value would be just what redbook says 2-3k max.

The value would be what it cost to replace just by looking at it id say 20-25k

Yeah cheers mate,

Going down the agreed value path prob with Shans for circa 20k I thought.

They were just asking if that was enough and that the enthusiasts value had risen in the last 12 months or so.

But also interested in base rates what people think within the "club" environment what they are worth.

18-20k would be my estimate.

Ultimately at the end of the day you just need to be happy with the $ amount they give you minus excess and that.

Both mine are 18k thru justcars, had to send them photos and list mods etc. My trueno was insured for 8k when i first got it and they were real iffy about upping value until i told them to try buy one at that price. Also had to send other cars for sale around that price
