non-running Celica GT4 ST185

I have a an ST185 that is non-running due to idiots at Kmart Tyre and Auto Service who didn't do up the sump plug during a service. All the oil leaked out and by the time the oil light lit up on the dash the damage had already been done. Bloody useless those lights!

Anyway I've had the car sitting on my property for ages, it's in good condition except the sun has made the paint fade a bit. Apart from that it's in really good condition especially the interior.

Now I need money I'm wondering what should I do with the car. Should I wreck it for parts? Though I don't know how many people have ST185s probably not many. Or should I have the engine replaced and then sell it? I've been looking for years for a replacement 3SGE and have not found one.

I really wish I could sell this car!

I paid $6K for it, would sell for around $3K not running or $5K running

Is this the one which has been on gumtree recently? Have always had a soft spot for st185 gt4. Don't recall that one mentioning the bottom end problems though

Another 3sge from a celica sx would be easy to find for about $500.

I meant to say 3SGTE but if I could a 3SGE from a celica SX for $500 that would seem like the way to go.

Pat it would depend how much interior parts you would be buying. If it's worth my while then I'll part it out. The interior is in very good nick by the way.
