hey everyone ive got a built 4age 16v with 20v ITBs on it and was wondering what people have done to setup a idle control valve. i'm using a haltech sprint 500 witch dosent support the idle function, but has anyone got around this?

As you now know, you can't use the idle control valve unless you use the matching stock ECU, or a good ECU that can control the valve. If the Haltech 500 can't do it, then you can't control a idle valve.

Instead, you need to bump the idle up with the idle bypass screws on each throttle. The correct way to set it up, is to keep the throttle stops in the stock positions, which allows the throttles to close fully shut. Then take off the trumpets, and unwind the air bleed screw for each throttle, about 2 turns each. Make them all even, run the engine to set idle to around 900rpm.
