Hey folks,

I've done a search and been looking into this a bit only to find not every piece of the puzzle. I've got a smallport and I'm interested to know what's involved in fitting ITB's. Now the silvertop diameters are smaller than blacktop which probably means they're better suited to the smallport, someone correct me if I'm wrong. Now will the only parts I need to purchase be...

Complete Silvertop ITB setup with TPS
T3 20V to 16V ITB Adapter
Golden eagle vaccuum manifold

Will I be able to wire the ST 20V TPS into the stock smallport ECU and have it work effectively? What is the go with the ST setup does include the injectors, and are they different to the smallport?

I've never heard of anybody succeeding in getting a standard 16v computer to run quads. You still need to use a MAP sensor with the smallport ECU and the map signals when running the ITBs will be totally different to a normal 16v and the ECU won't cope.

So your two options are aftermarket ECU or the rather second rate solution of a piggy back fuel computer. I personally would suggest you go for a full aftermarket ECU.

PM skidKE70 on here. I'm pretty sure he was running quads on a standard computer, and I'm pretty sure it led to the demise of his engine. They run very rich off a standard computer.

Hazy here, but I think Mattyshop got quads running on a stock ECU many years ago. May be worth a PM. Though maybe he did a writeup on it too.

look at this page it shows a dyno sheet of my car making 90kw's at the wheels with itb's (black tops) adjstable cam gears, hks cams 264's and 4-2-1 headers. all on the stock ecu.
