Jusy had my car impounded last night for a right hand turn on a roundabout where my ass kicked out for about a second.....The cop was on his rags or something because i was arrested and my car taken for 3 days with a court apperance......(i stayed polite and quiet and still was treated like garbage)
I was charged with creating undue noise......
does anyone have a similar story and what conviction am i looking at.....

I got charged with the same thing in August 2006. Although explain how you got arrested? Were you held in the watchhouse overnight and posted bail in a magistrates court the next morning? Thats being under arrest.

I was caught with a group drifting a round-about, had no defense so just took it on the chin. Wasn't arrested, just got a 'Notice to appear' on the spot. Also a 'Notice of Impounding', car was towed.

Went to court about a month later, was charged with 'Willfully making unnecessary noise or smoke. Got 4 months driving suspension, which was alot due to my 3rd court appearence in 12 months. Fine was $600.

Take into consideration the date, i believe the courts have got crazy over driving offences now.

jan 2008 my ae86 was impounded for the same kinda thing. they said it was a burnout because there was smoke.

had 3 months suspension, 3 months impound and 3 points taken which ended up being 6 months suspension from losing a total of 12 points. my car as impounded on the spot and my licence didnt get suspended until nov 2008 (slow rta) so it was like losing my licence for 9 months broken up. work was hard.

fines + fees were about $2100 all up.

i drove fwd for a bit after that all happened

Although I was at school, same deal. Was pretty bullshit but it's something I had to wear.

Three days and no loss of license (who knows until court), grant yourself lucky.

this wasnt cops
but i am an education student and i was on a teaching prac at a high school on the way to school one day i had to brake heavy because some fucking parent pulled out infront of me form nowhere made me brake heavy as and downshift which caused my wheels to lock for like not even a millesecond, they accused me of doing a burnout infront of the school infront of students
they also reported me for hooning in their carpark which was impossible (thers kids everywhere) cause my car is loud (they complained because of the noise when i drove past the principals office)

itss fucked man some people are just cunts to people in jap cars, if i drove a VS commodore with 20's i bet they wouldnt giv a fuck, i nearly got kicked out of my course cause of those cunts

australia sucks

The enforcement of traffic infringements is becoming rediculous while inattentive/poor driving habits go "unseen" by police.

its eventually going to get to the point where car enthusiasts will be driving stock standard cars as daily's and blend in with the "norm".... and will park their modified ride in the garage...

no doubt about it judging by the way its going... im sure you have heard exatcly what I right in this post before...

everyone's heard stories about people just going dedicated track car and stuff...

if you look at other related car scenes such as the jap nostalgic movement in oz, people only take em out some weekends and some events...

and now that the AE86 is on the verge in the next few years of becoming a restoration type car...

first gen RX7's are already going under full restorations heheh....

if anyone thinks the boyz in blue will eaze up anytime soon your dreaming, its gotten worse every time the hype starts up again...

to the point of impounding and crushing cars...

I loved my old KE70, and played it smart where I drove it, how I drove it...

not once did I do a skid... never got the chance...

and alot of people understand... you are going to be labeled a "hoon" or whatever you call it, as the majority of the general public are not used to that kind of "hoon" behavior...

at whatever level of "offense", you do a skid while turning, automatically your a hoon, like wtf?

just letting out some steam...

hope you get your car back from the ####wits that got it now...

also just want to add that what may emerge as a result of this recent outbreak, is the resurrection of the sleeper...

be prepared it may come back with a sticker, a mate had his car impounded was defected as they were impounding it and when he went to collect they had given him further defects, they then said it was unsafe to drive home because of said defects, jerks

Got car back today......$282 dollars and they let me drive off, only they left my window open.....i have 12 points on my licence as i finally got my opens last month (took me 6 and a half years...dont drink drive) so if its only points ill be alright hopefully.....

Was only held in custody for around an hour and a half until the toe truck driver got there....Had to sit in the gutter basically but they called it an arrest...They had a dog in the back of the wagon so i guess i was lucky....They are really angry towards us nowadays.....2 years ago it would have been a PULL YOUR SOCKS UP MATE....but now its like i just robbed a liquer store.....

dog in the back in a coincidence.

depends on the cop and the area you live in,
this might sound crazy and alot of people dont believe me,
but the day i put a cage and stuff in my car, put team stickers and race numbers
a quietish exhaust and got rid of the locker, I have never been hassled since,
cops drive past and look, rarely pull over and when they do tend to ask questions
with a grin and a nod instead of a frown and a shake.

If you give them the impression your just fucking around without consideration, theyll treat you accordingly, you have to separate your car as much as possible from the lappers and commodore/street groups. They are the ones they are out for.

Become a car enthusiast in their eyes, not a hoon. Things like dont wear flat brim hats, or lame shirts, dont stand their smoking when they talk to you, dont have shit all through your car, random guages all over the place and shit.

Ive had a cop pull me over in the hills, and say i know what your up to, keep it respectful and within your limits, have a good night. and i did, am much more wiser from those words than any yellow piece of paper.
