just a quick question.
is there any differences between the 2 alternators?? my cousin is chasing a 20v alternator and was wondering if a 16v one works or does it HAVE to be a 20v ST one?
cheers

If you look at all the details, there will be more than just 2 alternators.

But I think the main difference is the plug. Mid to late 80's Denso alternators may have a round plug. 90's Denso alternators may have a oval plug.

Mechanicaly, the 20v alternator does fit the RWD 4A-GE.

Internally they should be the same. Just a matter of sourcing the different plug as Jonny said.

That is as long as the 20V alternator has an internally built in regulator which im sure it does.
