a better engine and gear box .... ha ha jks. Im pretty sure you use a t18 rear piece, though that may only be correct while using a 4A and T50 setup.

I used a ke10 1 piece tailshaft (shorter) in a ke20 with a liteace diff. You may be able to adapt something, just measure up from gearbox outlet to diff and go from there, check what is at the wreakers you could use keeping in mind uni sizes. Hope this helps.....??

A series 1 T18 tail shaft will bolt straight up to the T-series diff and K50.

Series 2 T18 tail shaft will suit the AE71/AE86/Series 2 T18 gearboxes, 22 spline output.

You can only use the rear half of the tail shaft you've got available to you at the wreckers.

This man is on the money.

can i use the front half of my ke70 on the rear half of the t18 series 2 ?

it would save alot of stuffing around with finding a series 1 t18 tailshaft

No you can't, its a common misconception that can split a KE70 tailshaft.

Whilst you can take apart the uni-joints they don't have an unboltable section like an AE86 or TE72. So they are really just a one piece shaft with a centre bearing and extra uni. The same applies to AE71 shafts, one piece with centre bearing.

YOU GUYS ARE FORGETTING SOMETHING.

KE70 panel van has a S series diff (same bolt pattern on the nose as T series) and a K50 box.

Sure it MIGHT be to long, but only by about 20mm IF at all, hence, cut the bit that goes into the back of the gearbox down a little.

If you want one, I have one. Im in Melbourne, PM if interested.

i might have had a fluke here but when i was doing my f series diff conversion i lined up the t series and S series tail shafts i had for shits and giggles and the were identical and mapped to the t diff i have lying around here.

^^^^^ get ur 2 ends, measure flange face of diff to flange face of gearbox, tailshaft maker subtracts about an inch an $180 later u can drive. they will paint it black for you too
